Two thirsty soldiers stand at opposite ends of a minefield. Both can see the other staring at a water jug in the middle of the field, knowing the other man is the only obstacle to quench their thirst. They know they must kill the other to get a hold of the precious water.
Based on the poem “The Man He Killed” by Thomas Hardy.
