Part short film, part music video, Cassandra’s Run is a brilliant piece of experimental filmmaking. In Greek mythology, Cassandra had the gift to see the future, but cursed so that no one would believe her predictions. In Cassandra’s Run, filmmaker Thomas Kanschat puts a modern spin on the ancient Greek tragedy wherein a crazed homeless woman runs amok through Los Angeles trying desperately to warn people of impending doom. Quickly dismissed by everyone she encounters as a deranged lunatic, Cassandra’s sanity proves to be 100% intact.
