An Inconsistent Truth is one man's odyssey to find the truth about man-made global warming. As the title suggests, this is an answer to Al Gore's Oscar-winning documentary but it's much more than a simple rebuttal. We not only talk with leading scientific experts on the 'skeptic' side but we explore the entire culture of the global warming movement; often in a humorous and satirical way.
The viewpoint of this film might not be the most popular position on the subject but it offers refreshing diversity. Diversity, after all, is not just found in different cultures or races or religions. True diversity is diversity of thought.

OVERVIEW:
Phil Valentine is a nationally syndicated radio host who tackles the tough issues every day on his show. Few issues evoke the passion witnessed in the global warming debate. But Valentine is not some fat cat conservative riding around in his limousine. He makes his own bio-diesel from used vegetable oil at his restored 1870s-era log cabin and drives himself to work in his fixed-up 1985 Mercedes. (The car cost a whopping $3,000!) Bennie the BioBenz becomes a centerpiece of this unlikely odyssey.
Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, is the seminal piece on the pro-global warming side. Although there have been documentaries offering the opposing view, most have concentrated purely on the science. What's been lacking is a truly unique film that explores the issue from not only a scientific viewpoint but a cultural one.
Science rarely creates an emotional attachment. Ideas become theories and, through further research, theories become fact. There must be something far deeper at play on both sides than just the science of global warming to create such heated rhetoric and staunch positions. An Inconsistent Truth is heavy on the science but it also explores the culture of the global warming movement. And it certainly is that; a movement. By default or by design Al Gore is the leader of this movement. Is he walking the walk as well as talking the talk.
That's what Valentine tries to find out on his quest for the truth. Although Gore and Valentine reside just a few miles from one another their paths have crossed just once. Valentine sets out to not only glean the truth from the scientific community but talk to Gore himself. Turned away at the gates of his mansion, Valentine dogs his tracks, even showing up to a book signing.
However, Valentine isn't some conservative incarnation of Michael Moore filming his version of 'Al & Me.' The hunt for Gore is merely a side trip as Valentine takes his cameras from Nashville to California to Washington, DC and beyond in search of the truth.
Whether or not you believe mankind is causing the earth to heat up is not the point. The point is not only celebrating diversity but living it, and that starts with opening ones mind to the diversity of thought.
An Inconsistent Truth combines hard-nosed journalism with humor and satire mixed with an entirely original musical score all at a fraction of the budget - not to mention the environmental impact - of Gore's movie.
And who says conservatives can't be green?
