About The FreeStyle Life Film Exhibition

WHO WE ARE

The FreeStyle Life Film Exhibition is an online film exhibition that features first rate feature films, documentaries, shorts, and music videos from independent filmmakers. The goal of the exhibition is to discover and bring awareness to up-and-coming filmmakers and their projects and offer independent filmmakers an authentic platform to showcase their work.

Our exhibition is unique in how it takes full advantage of its online format. Unlike traditional festivals, our featured films can be streamed from any computer, mobile device or internet capable TV, giving our films the ability to reach a global audience. The touch friendliness of our exhibition makes featured content easily accessible for people on-the-go or for those who simply want to watch quality filmmaking from the comfort of their own home.

HOW WE STARTED

The FreeStyle Life began taking submissions for its 2012 film exhibition this past October, calling on filmmakers and musicians from all over the world to submit their latest projects. All of the films selected to compete in The FreeStyle Life Film Exhibition are curated and handpicked by our editorial team.

HOW IT WORKS

We have five categories in our exhibition competition, which include features, documentaries, shorts, student films and music videos. From now until March, TheFreeStyleLife.com will premiere a new film every weekday, with feature length films premiering on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and selected shorts screening on the days in between. Our programming staff determines the winners of the five genre categories while an audience award will be given to the film that our viewers like the most. The winners of each exhibition category and the audience award will be awarded a copy of the premium Showbiz Budgeting Software, the industry standard for production budgeting and planning. 

In order to continue promoting the work submitted to us from the independent film community, we require that our exhibition visitors pay a small fee to view our official selections. Viewers have the choice of paying per film or can have unlimited monthly access to our featured films through our monthly subscription pass. Proceeds from the exhibition will be used to continue promoting our selected films and filmmakers.

The FreeStyle Life Film Exhibition strives to discover emerging talent and to help independent filmmakers continue making great films. After our exhibition concludes, we will continue to support our featured films and filmmakers. In addition to hosting a filmmaker’s work on our online platform, our viewers will have the ability to donate directly to our featured filmmakers and fund their next project.

The Festival is committed to helping independent filmmakers showcase and distribute their work to a global audience while providing artists with an outlet to recoup and monetize their works. The multi-platform exhibition provides content creators an innovative distribution outlet allowing them to directly monetize their films through our Video on Demand (VOD) partnerships, along with other avenues.
